As the President and CEO of Ancestry, Margo transformed the company into the global market leader in family history and consumer genomics with over 3.6M subscribers and nearly 20M consumers in its DNA network. Subscription revenue has scaled to over $1B with record-setting profitability and cash flow.

Prior to Ancestry, Margo served as the CEO of Mattel, the President of Americas at Google, COO of Groupon, EVP of US Card Services at Discover Financial Services, and a Partner at McKinsey. Margo serves on the Boards of McDonald’s Corporation, Rodan and Fields, Handshake, Workboard, and Catalyst.

Margo earned her MBA at Harvard Business School, where she was a Baker Scholar, meaning she was in the top 5% of her class. She is passionate about STEM education and has championed organizations that help women and girls pursue STEM careers such as Made with Code and Girls Who Code. She co-led Women@Google while she worked there.

Margo is a recipient of the Forbes “Excellence Award in Innovation,” the POW! Womenetics “Purposeful Women Award,” and was named to Crain’s “Most Powerful Women in Business” and Fortune’s “50 Most Powerful Women in Business” lists.
