Eran brings to the team vast experience and knowledge in building education and productivity products and ecosystems.

Eran currently leads Microsoft’s cross-company product strategy for the education market, helping to bring Microsoft's best technology to students and teachers around the world. In addition to this cross company responsibility, he leads education and consumer focused product teams delivering education and consumer services such as Microsoft Teams for Education, Flipgrid, Learning Tools, OneNote Class Notebook, and Family Safety.

Prior to his current role, Eran led multiple product and engineering teams at Microsoft including Excel, PowerPoint, OneNote, To-Do, and  Visio. Earlier, Eran was also instrumental in the development of Microsoft’s Business Intelligence product offerings Before joining Microsoft, Eran was Founder & CTO of two startups: Maximal Innovative Intelligence, which was acquired by Microsoft in 2001 and Memad, an Ed-Tech startup focusing on math education.. 

Eran began his professional career serving the better half of a decade in Israel’s elite 8200 military intelligence technology unit leading teams delivering mission critical products and solutions.

Eran holds multiple patents for inventions in online collaboration and content distribution tools.  Outside of work Eran is a married and the proud father of three daughters. Together they are avid theater goers, enjoy international travel, as well as camping and hiking. Eran can be found in the kitchen almost every night, fueling his passion for cooking and good food.
