We are excited to announce the graduation of the second cohort of Venture Scouts.

We started the program in 2020 with the idea of helping the next generation of angel investors learn about investing and become part of our community. After the graduation of the inaugural cohort of our Venture Scouts in Q4 2020, we had significant interest from many more emerging angel investors wanting to join the program. In January, we held a series of in-depth discussions and educational sessions for our second cohort Scouts, with topics ranging from deal sourcing advice, evaluating startups, markets and partnering with early-stage founders to discussing Grishin Robotics investment framework.

Our Scouts link Grishin Robotics with strong emerging founding teams that they encounter in the entrepreneurial community. Many of our Scouts are past, present, or future founders – we learn a lot from them and value their inputs both at the stage of investment and during the ongoing startup journey. Our Venture Scouts together with our team of Senior Advisors form strong bonds both with entrepreneurs and within VC networks.

Today we are thrilled to share the names of our second cohort of Venture Scouts:

‍Mike Gelb - Founder of The Consumer VC, a media company that covers the inner workings of venture capital as it pertains to consumer-facing startups - both physical goods and consumer technology.

Juan M. Abundes - Investor at Soma Capital, investing in early-stage seed and Series A companies.

Chelsea Goddard - Founder of Apex Haus, a product-strategy consultancy that partners with early-stage founders to drive growth.

Perry Ha - Growth Initiatives team at Hippo Insurance, where he helps lead their smart home program and sales operations function.

Megan Groves - Mentor at Techstars, Venture Partner at Republic, an advisor and angel investor in several early-stage companies.

‍Todd Heine - Founder of Legalpad, where he's focused on making the work-visa process easy to create a world where talent, not birthplace, determines opportunity.

Jessica Li - Growth marketing team at Zageno, head of content for Elpha, Harvard in Tech, and Techstars Boston.

Sriram Raman - Engineer at Snap. Previously at Google, Spotify, and Airtime.

‍Angela Santurbano - Product manager at Facebook. Invests in software that disrupts antiquated industries by bringing in a simple user experience and combines it with strong customer love.

Sumit Varshney - Head of Corporate Development at Revel Transit Inc.
