Facebook`s First Hardware Hackathon

Facebook’s Open Compute Project, an effort to create and promote open-source hardware, is hosting its first-ever hardware hackathon. The hackathon will be in January in Santa Clara, California, at the Open Compute Summit. The hackathon's goal is to make a set of open-source computer hardware building blocks that will be used in actual cases in large data centers to lower overall data center costs.
